Poverty
For this essay I am going to be talking and experiencing how it feels to live in poverty. Many people may think that it is a very broad subject, and think that it may have many different meanings but I am going to tell you a little about it. Also Im going to find out and describe how some people look, feel, and express themselves about poverty.
After taking a trip through downtown Detroit, and being in the streets of Chicago, I have found that there are a lot of homeless and starving people that walk the streets from day to day. First I will try to describe poverty and what I think it is. In my perspective poverty is the lack of access to resources including food, clean water, sanitation, and sometimes even education.
There are people with homes that still live in poverty. Whether its being unable to provide the basic essentials for their family or not being able to heat, provide hot water, or even clothe their family. The most obvious case of poverty is hunger. Ive heard of some people living off of one to three dollars a day. That will barely even get a starvi......
