Pre-Islamic Arab Culture Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In the Pre-Islamic Arab culture as it comes through in the reading of Khansa was based on survival of the fittest. It seems as though the Pre-Islamic Arabs lived in the desert. They have weapons in their possession for protection, but still are waking up through out the night in wake of terror. If danger was in their sight, they would spread out and fight till the enemies left and were slaughtered. If the stage of fighting came in their way, that meant death for the enemy. Food was scarce. When food was finished they would move to a newer place because for them having nothing to eat meant starvation, which would lead to death. What was interesting to read was that if the leader of the clan died, that meant the fall of the clan. The members of the clan always protected their leaders and women.
The inhabitants of Arabia belonged to the nomadic tribes. The nomads gained a livelihood by pasturing camels and other animals.
