In exploring all or many of my career options through the years I have clearly come to the conclusion that one thing I love is working with people and helping others in some form. Therefore, after several years doing many jobs where I was able to work with people and children in different arenas, I have chosen to pursue radiography. Radiographers help diagnose or treat patients who are ill or injured, using many different kinds of radiation such as x-rays, radioisotopes, ultrasound and magnetic resonance. They use highly technical, computerized equipment, while at the same time caring for patients. (The Society & College of Radiographers) I feel that I will be able to make a difference in peoples lives while using my intelligence and being able to make a competitive salary in our current job market by becoming a radiographer. This career will encompass most of my likes while allowing me to make a good living and go home every night knowing I made a difference in someone elses life.
