Introduction
Learning is growing
it is about gaining knowledge that lasts. Wikipedia defines learning as the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, attitudes, or values, through study, experience, or teaching, that causes a change of behavior that is persistent, measurable, and specified or allows an individual to formulate a new mental construct or revise a prior mental construct (Wikipedia, n.d.). The facilitation of learning as a complex process is explored by many different theories. They can be traced back to the ancient Greeks. In the 18th century, with the onset of scientific inquiry, people began
to study and develop models of learning (Mergel, 1998).
The purpose of this paper is to specifically explore the constructivism theory and how it contrasts with the applications of the behaviorism theory.
