Ada
This chapter belongs to the thoughts and feelings of Ada, a quiet young lady who lives with her father in their new home in Cold Mountain. She is very intellectual and is a very clean and up-kept person. She and her dad both look after each other in different ways. The house which she lives in is included with its own small farm for their personal use. The farm land which Ada and her father lived on was un-kept and everything was dying. This meant that she was always hungry and she did not have a clue how to make meals as she is more of an intellectual person than one who would cook and maintain the premises. Her attempts at finding eggs early on in the chapter were futile, showing her need for help.
Ada lives a very secluded lifestyle in Cold Mountain often keeping away from others. There are extensive descriptions of a part of her daily routine on pages 29 and 30. Sh......
