Hello, my name is Pythagoras and I am a famous mathematician. I was born on the island of Samos which is located in Greece, I was born in 569 BC. Many people refer to me as the first pure mathematician, many people do not know about my mathematical achievements but they do know that I was a major contributor to the field of mathematics. I did not limit myself to strictly studying mathematics, I also was well known for advancements in astronomy and the theory of music.
Many people do not know solid facts about my early life, but I will let you know the basics. My Father was a Mnesarchus and my Mother was a Pythais. My Father was a merchant who came from Tyre and my Mother was a native of Samos where I was born. When I was a child I did not stay in Samos most of the time, since my Father was a merchant I often went with him to distant countries. When I was off with my Father I learned much about mathematics and this is what sparked my interest in the field.
