Samuel Langhorne Clemens, most commonly known as Mark Twain, is one of the most well known authors in America’s literary history. With little education and tremendous ambition, Mark Twain became a good success in what he had always been good at, telling a really good story. Mark Twain’s writing consisted of happy, boyhood tales, such as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and its sequel, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and funny, ironic stories such as The Celebrated Jumping Frogs of Calaveras County. He has inspired many people with his unique description and quirky sense of humor. Samuel Langhorne Clemens was born a month premature on November 30th, 1835 in a two-room frame house in Florida, Missouri. Coincidentally, Samuel Clemens was born the same day that Halley’s comet soared through the sky. Similar to Halley’s comet, Samuel Clemens was a rare type of being that one only comes across once in a lifetime. As a child, Samuel Clemens held staunch, unmovable views on life.
