Thai Food Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Thai food is widely known for being hot and spicy since almost all Thai food is cooked with basic ingredients such as garlic, chilies, limejuice, lemon grass and fermented fish sauce or shrimp paste to make it salty. Indeed the Thai cuisine includes some very spicy dishes, however, not all Thai food is that hot. Normally, an authentic Thai meal will include one if not more very spicy dishes, a few dishes that are less hot, and some that are seasoned with only garlic or herbs. Meanwhile, the basic characteristic taste of Thai food in different parts of the country can be described in different ways. In the central region, food is hot, salty, sweet and sour. Dishes usually contain a lot of condiments and spices. Rice has always been the most important dish in any Thai meal, is usually eaten at every meal with curries such as Kaeng Phed and Kaeng Kiew Wan.
