Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, more often referred to as ADHD, is defined as a neurological brain disorder that may include but is not limited to symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity, over or hyper-activity, insatiability, social clumsiness, poor coordination, disorganization, variability and specific learning disabilities. ADHD affects nearly 3-5% of the United States population, including both children and adults. ADHD is considered to be a chronic syndrome to which there is currently no known medical cure (Green and Lee pgs. 3-10).
