The book Black Like Me is an amazing book in the way John Howard Griffin writes in the form of a diary but although it is in diary form it is still a story. Griffin creates his narration in a way that it will move and touch the reader and help (in the most efficient way possible) them understand what it was like to be a black man in 1959. If I had to grade this book I would have to give it full points because it was a book you could not stop reading. The pure curiosity that John Griffin had to have had to go through with this social experiment was in me causing me to read on as much and deeply as possible. The information in this book was really to the point. No facts were spared and Every thing that happened was put in no matter how truthfully wrong it was.
The organization of the book as I understand was done after John had returned his to his life as a white man. In deciding how he would actually tell his amazing story he chose to write it in the form of a diary with dates and first person narration. Although it was written in the form of a diary it isnt a diary in the sense......
