John Gotti Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

John Joseph Gotti, Jr. was born on October 27, 1940 in Bronx, New York. He grew up very poor as a child living in Brooklyn, New York. When Gotti was 16 years old he dropped out of high-school after being involved with gambling in school. Gotti’s main goal in life was to become a Mafia boss of all of New York. Him and his childhood friend Angelo Ruggiero started to conduct burglaries and made little money at first. But on March 6, 1962 John Gotti married Victoria DiGiorgio. Only married for a year the two had five children: Angel, Victoria, John Jr., Frank, and Peter. Gotti was very devoted to his family but a tragedy occurred on March 18, 1980. His son Frank, 12 years old at the time, was hit by their neighbor’s car John Favara in front of his Howard Beach house. Gotti’s still hadn’t blown up his career as a “Mafia Gangster” until May 22, 1973. Gotti, Angelo Ruggiero, and Ralph “Ralphie Wigs” Galione stepped up into Snoope’s Bar in Staten Island to kill the Irish gangster James McBratney. The three men pretended to be police detective, and tried to “arrest” ......
