Studies shows that America has 300,000 deaths a year from obesity and other health problems. Problems could be cause by Biological reasons and surprisingly by television as well. (Grolier). Television affects children of all ages, but it has the greatest impact on eight years old and younger because this is the period where they gather all information they hear and see (Effects of television on children). Many parents use television as a babysitter, or even use it as a reward, but all of that should stop. The lack of concentration and the sudden changes in attitude could be attributed to and excess in television. In order prevent children from overusing television parents should start more family activities to help set the mind off television, pay more attention to their children's education and become more involved; and take notice of how much television has affected the family.
