When people talk about the League of Nation, it is easy to think about its failure such the war between Poland and Russia in 1920 to 1921. However, besides these failures, there were also a lot of successes of League of Nations which were not easily noticed by people. Hence, I think the League of Nations was not stupid at all and it had made many brilliant successes.
Firstly, it did have avoid war and make many peaces in Europe after WW1. For instance, the Aaland Islands are in between Finland and Sweden. They were traditionally belonged to Finland, but most of them wanted to be governed by Sweden. In 1921, Finland and Sweden asked for Leagues advice. The Leagues decision was these islands were remained with Finland but no weapons were allowed to be kept there. The war was avoided as both of Finland and Sweden accepted this decision, and even it works nowadays. Another example, Greece and Bulgaria have same border. In 1925, one Greece soldier was killed in a border conflict. Therefore, Greece opened war at Bulgaria. Bulgaria asked for help from the League; The League or......
