Human Sexuality in The Streetcar named Desire Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Human sexuality is a topic that is very blatantly exposed in Tennessee Williams’s Street car named Desire. The lack of fear the author displays in tackling with various issues of sex makes the play stimulating and disturbing. It is the sexuality of the characters in the play that makes the audience connect with their plights as the tangled emotions over sex is one that is very much familiar to all humans. To say that the play depicts human desires, especially those which are not fulfilled could not be a wrong assumption. Among human desires sexual relationship is a natural inclusion. Thus it is easy to see that the title of the play Street car named Desire also holds sexual implications. Indeed the title cannot be too misleading from the core of what the play is about. By bringing a street car named desire to our attention Tennessee Williams can be implying that sex is a desire that is by itself beautiful and beguiling however in association it could also get tainted. Thus a desire being associated with a common streetcar which must have been rattling along all sorts of places......
