Friar Lawrence and the Nurse are incompetent, irresponsible and ultimately to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
The Nurse is a very boisterous character and always speaks her mind. I dont think she is afraid of what people think of her. She has arranged the meetings between Romeo and Juliet. Perhaps if she had not then they may not have died. She comes across, in the beginning of the play as a very trustworthy friend to Juliet but as the play goes on they drift further and further apart. She advises Juliet to do things that Juliet does not want.
Friar Lawrence is a Franciscan Friar. He is a very down to earth and likes to take things slow. He s a wise character and gives lots of advice. However as the play goes on he seems to be less sure about the advice he is giving. He is given less time to think about what to say. He comes up with a lot of ill-considered plans and they nearly all go completely wrong.
At a first glance the Nurse and the Friar are completely different characters but as you look closer you can see that they are very similar. ......
