Oscar Wilde had made a play The ideal Husband and it was written in January 1895 and it was a product of its time.
When I first watched the ideal husband I did not really like it because it was sort of boring because there were parts I did not understand. I think that if the play was done now I would have understood it because the production people these days do not put something up until they know that people would understand. I think that if they did this film in 2006 then everything would different. They would have different settings, different languages and attitude and actions to each other and also they would have different types of audience.
If the play was done in 2006 then the actors and actresses would not speak Standard English. In 1895, everyone always spoke in proper English at all times.
