As the beginning of the Revolution was coming closer, the colonists had been empowered with strong feelings of unity, which had been fueled when their liberties were being stepped on by the Parliament. Also the colonists had begun to realize that they had a separate identity from England. Particularly those colonists who lived in New England, though the rest of the colonies starting to feel the same. In the time period of the 1770's, the colonists were showing great extent in their feelings of unity and identity.
America for the most part was strongly unified by the eve of the Revolution and were ready to fight for freedom and liberty due to many factors. Within the colonies, dissatisfaction with England had been brewing, and inspired them to unify for their liberties, especially in reactions to “Taxation without representation” and acts like The Stamp Act and The Quartering Act.
