Tesco located in central slough on bath road, on the corner of Brunel way. It is in the perfect place to benefit Tesco for a number of reasons:
Tesco is opposite the town centre where there are a many people, this would attract the people into Tesco from the town centre, and they tried to make it as easy as possible to enter by building a large bridge on the other side. So, the people from the town centre can come straight into Tesco instead of going to the zebra crossing which is further away from the entrance.
The bridge was £1½ million. It helps reduce accidents as some people used to try to cross the road by running through the traffic and jumping over the fence in the middle..
Until August 2005, there was a lot of traffic on the road in front of Tesco, this stopped several customers coming in, and so to reduce the traffic, they changed the system. So now, instead of cars going past Tesco and back just to go to Tesco, they made a turn in front of the entrance. So cars and people can go straight in. This is what it was like before......
