Examine the society of twelfth night. How do the characters disrupt the Natural order of society, and how is it resolved by the play's conclusion? In 'Twelfth Night', Viola survives a shipwreck, walks ashore Illyria, dreses up as a man and goes on a quest to find her brother. Orsino reveals his love for Olivia the Countess, and Malvolio thinks that Olivia is in love with him and makes a fool of himself because of his vanity. Malvolio is placed in a dark room and is tortured by Feste who makes him think that he is mad. Orsino and Olivia get married. Shakespearian times where different, when compared with the times of 'twelfth night'. This is because Shakespearian's time, there was a divine order for everything. The society was divinenly ordered, which also could not be changed as it was set by God. It started from God, then the monarchy, and then the Government, then the Nobility class, then the Upper, then the middle, and then the shop owners, labour workers, and servants. In other words, the Lower class. There was also sexism in the time of Shakespeare, and also in the soc......
