Technology has been shaping the way people live and communicate since the beginning of time. In the Stone Age, our ancestors used tablets of paper to organize thoughts, keep track of daily activities, and pass information and knowledge on to future generations and family members. Simply put this method of writing was time consuming and inefficient. As technologies evolve, we are redefining our methods of writing and communicating. We have come up with newer, cheaper, and more efficient ways to communicate. Some of my most meaningful conversations and writings have come from the use of my white MacBook laptop. In this essay I will describe how my laptop is shaping me, what I use it for and why I cherish it so much. I have always grown up with a computer in my house, but not necessarily one that was always my very own.
