Formation and evolution of the Solar System
In this essay I will explain the evolution and the future of the Solar System, our cosmic neighbourhood.
There are various theories explaining the evolution, but there is one which is the most logical. Immanuel Kant proposed a theory to explain the evolution in 1755.
The nebular hypothesis.
As you all know the universe started to exist about 14 billion years ago. It was the big bang which was the beginning of everything. Since that event, atoms formed small particles which then formed Galaxies in millions of years.
However, after 9 billion years (4.6 billion years ago) there was a giant cloud of dust and gas, which stayed calm somewhere in the universe. The main elements which were part of that cloud were Hydrogen, Helium and Iron. It is supposed that this cloud was the rest of an older star which exploded with a supernova explosion.
As already mentioned this cloud was staying calm. But then a shockwave caused by another supernova explosion reached that cloud and made it collapse and rot......
