Case Study of Frost
Frost wrote many poems in his day. They were about many different topics. They had different rhyme schemes, different syllable patterns, and different meanings. They came in many different sizes also. This is a case study of 16 different varieties of Frosts poems, analyzing ever little detail.
In the poem, The Road Not Taken, each line has a total of 9 syllables. Also, in each stanza, the first, third, and forth line. The second and fifth lines rhyme too. The first line, Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, means that there are two paths that the speaker, Frost himself, can take in his life. In the second line, And sorry I could not travel both means that he was expected to travel both, but couldnt. The third line, And be one traveler, long I stood means he took a long time to choose the path he chose. The forth line, And looked down one as far as I could means that he thought about the choice for a longtime. The fifth line, To where it bent in the undergrowth; means that the path of his choi......
