He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in USA on the 18th December 1946.
Without a doubt one of the most influential film personalities in the history of film, Steven Spielberg, is perhaps Hollywoods best known director and one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world. Spielberg haw countless big-grossing, critically acclaimed credits to his name, as producer, director and writer. He is the richest man in Hollywood and one of the men who has great influence in USA.
He went to Long Beach University, but dropped out to pursue his entertainment career.
Spielberg grew up making movies from an early age. In an interview with the American Film Institute Spielberg recalls his earliest movie making memory - his enjoyment of crashing his toy trains into each other. To avoid making his father angry about repairing the trains he chose to film the crash at the points where the trains met. Throughout his early teens, he made other amateur 8 mm "adventure" movies with his friends. He charged admission to his home movies while his sister sold the popcorn.
