The outcome of strategic planning sessions is to discuss the future direction of the organization. Trends, past outcomes, long term and or short term goals and financial stabilities are the main issues involved in strategic planning. In the healthcare industry it is difficult to make changes as it affects so many outside stakeholders such as the physicians utilizing your hospital. In this paper, I will review how some organizations worked to create and implement their strategic plans. In reviewing data for this paper, I had a very difficult time finding information regarding how companies similar to mine tackled their strategic issues.
