Stone Cold - Robert Swindells Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Stone Cold was a fascinating book to read, and gave me such an insight to what it is like being homeless. Throughout the book I was kept in suspense, and Robert Swindells came up with a very creative, very exciting plot.
The book starts off, You can call me Link which I think is a very clever way to start the book, because you can tell Link is going to be the main-character, and from then on it makes the reader feel like he knows Link.
Link used to live an ordinary life. A mum, a dad, a sister. His life was normal. But then his life took a big turn. His dad left, and his mum found a new boyfriend called Vince. Link hated Vince from the moment he saw him. One day Link came home to something he wasnt expecting. Vince and his mum were inside, and Vince locked Link out of the house. He didnt let Links mum open the door, so link was forced away. He went to his sister Caroles house for the night and ended up staying there for a few more days. Carole had a boyfriend and Link could see that he was getting annoyed with Link being there and so one day Link d......
