Realism in The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
In Mark Twains novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Twain gives particular insight to his characters, without giving them credibility. By writing about an illiterate and poor young boy, Twain makes this a realistic novel. Realism is commonly known as literature that depicts real situations of people in society. Twain gives unique back stories to his characters which not only give them a more realistic storyline, but allows for a stronger character development. Mark Twain uses vernacular and back stories to enhance the quality of his realism, and to further develop his characters. Huckleberry Finn and Jim are prime examples of such realism and character history that was put into play by Mark Twain.
