Youth Violence Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Toronto has been going through frustration for the reason that violence is increasing in the neighbourhoods especially were I live, around Jane and Wilson. In the Jane and Wilson area there are many of teenagers in gang related groups, which most of them carry guns and knifes for safety from other groups. Because teenagers carrying guns violence has occurred in this area and more victims have been getting hurt for their fault. An example of a horrific shooting was a year ago on Jane and Wilson on the TTC bus. It all started when a 24 year old male argued with a group of rowdy youths and then it exploded into violence. One of the suspects took out a gun and started to shoot the 24 year old and the 40 victims that were riding the bus. An 11 year old girl got shot in her left eye, it was a miracle that she is still alive but has her left eye is weak. They are still looking for these suspects. Now this 11 year old girl is trying to help the police to identify the suspects even though she cannot see with her left eye.
This type of situation in our community makes me feel uncomfort......
