Commercial advertising is used to promote products, services, political ideas, and
anything else in which an advertiser wants to publicize. Advertising has become an integral part of modern culture and depending on the individual they may view it positively, negatively or perhaps not even notice it. In order to attract a target audience, advertisers use a large variety of techniques to target the select demographic for maximum impact or imprint. Although methods which are used by advertisers are innumerable, the techniques have a common goal of persuading the desired demographic to purchase or subscribe to the advertised products. The use of sex in advertising is seen as one of the most effective practices but may stereotype women as objects in order to attract a male demographic.
