In response to the assignment to write a paper based on how diversity and demographic characteristics affect organizational behavior, I have chosen to focus on the following four factors, as they are particularly relevant where I work they are age, geographical differences, differences in skills and value and attitude differences.
The age factor is a big issue in this day and age. The fast track to success does not come easy in the corporate world. This is especially true for our younger generation of professionals (those in their mid-20s to early-30s). These individuals are working for or alongside an older generation of managers and employees and who have had to pay their dues for years to get where they are today. Our older generation of working professionals (those in their late-30s to late-50s), have an expectation that young professionals should be put to the same test of time.
