Alcoholism is a very common trend now days with adults and teenagers, at least three million teens who abuse alcohol regularly. Seventy six million adult Americans have been exposed to alcohol in the family. One in three alcoholics has a parent that is or was an alcoholic at one time. Alcoholism reminds me of an epidemic the way it can spread so easily, but a lot of people hide the fact that it can affect the ones you love most. This is why alcohol and family can’t balance. Parents have the most influence on their child’s life, so what the parent is doing can affect the way a child lives their life. When a parent becomes an alcoholic, they will always be an alcoholic. As they drink their moods can change quickly, acting out on their emotions such as; yelling, arguing and even hitting. Children become to believe that their parents’ drinking is their fault. Each member of a family can act differently because of it.
