Many people throughout history have gone out of their way to help others. For instance, people have helped others in the fight against cancer, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the September 11th attacks.
Help can be a very beautiful word especially when people help others in their struggle against cancer. Whether it is a group of friends raising a few thousand dollars to help a friend with cancer or an organization raising one hundred thousand dollars for cancer research, each individual can make a difference. One large organization that has helped tremendously in the fight against cancer is the American Cancer Society (ACS), who accepts donations for research, printing awareness pamphlets and raising money for individual families.
