Almost everyone has heard about Mother Teresa and the work she had done. She was a nun who spent most of her life in the poorest regions of India. Over there, she had helped tons of poor people, giving them shelter and care, allowing them to die with dignity, among other deeds. These earned her the respect, recognition and love from the average person in India. But was she really the great figure she was known as throughout the world? A closer look at her actions might reveal things that may not be shocking, but at least leaves a person pondering about her actual motives. Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in 1910. At 18, she left her home and joined the Sisters of Loreto. It was an Irish community of nuns with missions in India. After a few months' training in Dublin she was sent to India. From 1931 to 1948 Mother Teresa taught at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta. There was widespread poverty and suffering outside the convent walls, and they made such a deep impression on her that in 1948 she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devo......
