Existentialism at its best Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Realism is a literary movement which originated in the United States and Europe in the eighteenth century. It represents the human condition of middle and working-class individuals struggling to survive, often in order to instigate reform. Realism can also be defined as a theory of writing in which the ordinary, familiar, or mundane aspects of life are represented in a straightforward or matter-of-fact manner that is presumed to reflect life as it actually is. This can be shown by four writers which impacted the world’s literature, Reed, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, and Chekov. In the movie, Reds, the author’s creation of circumstance can be said to be very complicated. The movie starts off with a lady, Louise Bryant, trying to interview John Reed. Reed accepts and after the 20 hour long interview, they start dating. Reed decides to take Louise with him to New York to get better at writing. She accepts and in New York she begins to have an affair on Reed with his friend Eugene O’Neil. Reed notices and acts like he doesn’t know. Reed then goes to Russia and begins to write ......
