The Cause of Jesus' Death: Fate or Chance? Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

The cause of Jesus’ death can be viewed or “blamed” on many groups of people throughout the New Testament, as well as Jesus or God Himself. One cause of his death may be events involving the Jewish people. Also, the Romans and Pontius Pilate could be viewed as the literal killers of Jesus. Lastly, Jesus himself could be to blame for his own crucifixion. Ultimately the death of Jesus was not caused by one single act or group of people, but a combination of many factors. The Jewish people during Jesus’ time were an aspect in the death of Jesus. Throughout the New Testament, the Jewish people could not seem to comprehend Jesus’ message. In the Acts of the Apostles III, Jesus made a paralyzed man walk, and all the Jewish people were amazed at this miracle. Peter said to the people after this miracle, “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?
