Types of Vegetarians
Vegetarian. Some look at this word and see only a word; however, for me it is a lifestyle. To those less familiar with the people who label themselves as such, a vegetarian is simply a person who doesnt eat meat. But I as well as other followers of this lifestyle know that vegetarianism is much more than this brusque definition, it has faces, stories, and ideals. I first became aware of this fact when discovering a vegetarian cookbook in my kitchen. While skimming through the book, I came across a page in which there were definitions of various kinds of vegetarians, such as vegans (no animal products), ovo-lacto ( eats dairy and eggs), and porco-vegetarian (eats pork). The most important thing about vegetarianism is that it has taught me that whether vegetarian or not, eating healthy is one of the most important things you can do to stay alive, making me aware of my own as well as others eating habits. In my two years of being a vegetarian, I have met and analyzed many other vegetarians and have found that within all the different kinds of vegetarians......
