This is my story
The rising sun warmed my face, I was watching the magical sun peer through the trees on the top of the paddy fields. The area was a mix of two worlds. On one side the place was a natural beauty which roamed the endless horizon but on the other side was a busy eyesore which was Shanghai, with the grey business district and the many number of coolies. Poverty filled the crowded streets with the dead untended, no-one looked twice.
A faint cry came to me, as I turned my head I heard my mother called Pat, Pat Ying is ready to take us home. I ran over to my mother and Ying had a poker face all of the time, I would try to talk to him but he never answered, I didnt know if he didnt understand me or he didnt like me.
My father, James was a overworked factory worker who is a gentleman he would always wear a suit unless he was going to bed or a fancy dress party. My mother Jane, on the side was a glamour girl she had to have anything in fashion, it was quite ironic that my dad made the money and my mother spent it.
