Systems theory is an organizing framework that allows you to see the whole concept. This will allow you to have helpful interventions. In the following paper I will assess conflict using the systems theory approach. I will apply my personal situation with one of my co-workers to the Wilmot-Hocker Conflict Assessment Guide and apply the tools to assess the conflict.
For my paper I will discuss my conflict with my co-worker by using the Wilmot-Hocker Conflict Assessment Guide (Wilmot & Hocker, 2007) to assess the conflict. The assessment guides are used to assess the workings of the overall system, determining recurring patterns, and identifying individual contributions to the overall system. (Wilmot & Hocker, 2007) I will cover nature of conflict, power, and attempted solutions.
