Some people would expect that two entirely different people, such as Huckleberry Finn from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and Nwoye from Things Fall Apart, could not possibly share a single aspect of life in common. Through the choices that these individuals make, it can be concluded that their outcome reflects the decisions made along the way, which helps bring out their similarities. These choices also give one a better understanding of the character and the many obstacles, including self-conflict, that must be endured throughout the novel. One may find this appealing as many thoughts can be generated as to the contrast of these two young individuals. Although Nwoye and Huck Finn share similarities such as the influences in their lives and the search for meaning, there are also distinctions like their fathers and decisions which allow each character to stand on their own. Firstly, both of these characters have countless numbers of influences that are relentlessly trying to have an impact on their lives. For Huck, there was really no one he could depend on, as his mother died......
