Competitors Because of the fact that there are over 700 golf clubs which provide golf courses in Ontario, Ontario golf course market is extremely competitive and no club is able to dominate the market. Around Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the lake, both of which lie fairly close to each other near the Ontario Lake. Twelve golf clubs compete in this narrow area for attracting customers who spend their vocation around the beautiful and well-known resort-Niagara Falls. There are three types of golf clubs: public, private and semi-private. However, these twelve clubs only operate in two ways: ten of them are public and the rest two are semi-private. More than half of the clubs have a long history and were established at least twenty years ago. In addition, one club has an amazingly long history which is 132 years. Three clubs are founded in 1990s and two clubs are newcomers after 2002. Most clubs have similar ground size: Eight clubs own 18 holes, two own 9 holes, one owns 45 holes and one owns 27 holes.
