Adrenaline Air Sports was founded in November 1999, by skydiver Billy Cockrell. Cockrell opened the business after discovering his love for the popular sport of skydiving. He opened his business in a highly populated area of Virginia, with a population of nearly one hundred and twenty thousand people located with a forty mile radius. Being a sport that targets specific people, customers would most likely travel for a company with a strong reputation.
Cockrell wise decision to buy used products from Ebay, and the purchase of a used plane for $45,000 with a ten year loan agreement was a good move on behalf of himself. A company like this could fly, or not; and if not, he wouldnt have wanted to be so far in debt, that he would struggle for years to come. Cockrell made another wise decision of hiring part time employees. He himself put in many hours of work; this in addition to his full time job, but a wise business owner must put in the time while a business is growing.
