The Shape of Things
We had been going through some rough times and we didnt really have a choice. My mom had fallen in love and moved my brothers and me to Upstate New York, to live with her current fling, she swore that she was in love. We packed up our lives and moved four hours away from everything that we had ever known. New town, new school, new friends.
This town was extremely small, in fact students in my school came from four towns. Margaret C. Cyler Elementary and Junior-Senior High School, we barely had enough students to even keep the school open. I did manage to make some friends. I was used to this transition, I had done it a few times before. We didnt really become good friends, because I lived over a mile from the nearest house, had to ride the bus home, and wasnt allowed to go anywhere. This means that I never got to do anything extra, except when my mom would work nights.
My mom got a job as a bartender, at the only bar in town. It was also the hotel, the laundry mat, and a game room for kids. My mom had become friends with the owners of this place. It wasn......
