Antoine Nicolas de Condorcet's Vision Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Antoine Nicolas de Condorcet was viewed by his fellow philosophers as being one of the most liberal philosophers of the enlightenment era. His views were radical for the time in which he lived but as we see in the essay that he wrote many of his views are not as far fetched today. In fact a few have even been achieved. Condorcet writes of revolutionary ideas that he sees necessary for the world to achieve perfection. Race, gender, politics, medicine, and morals are just a few of the many topics that Condorcet elaborates on. The first topic that Condorcet tackles in his writing is the issue of society and the actions that people commit. Condorcet claims that all of the of negative actions that are committed can be traced back to the legislation, institutions, and prejudices of the country where they happened. Condorcet believes in order for the perfection of mankind to progress so must the government. He believes that if society gets better so will the people.
