How Can Teachers Implement Listening and Speaking in Elementary Schools Many years ago, the English elementary schools’ programs were emphasized in skills such as reading, writing and, sometimes, grammar. Later on, educators realized that it was necessary to change this model since it did not provide elementary students with the most important skills in any language mostly called listening and speaking. At that time, the English syllabus for elementary institutions was changed into a more interactive one, which was supposed to include a process of application of the four skills at the same time, giving students better opportunities of learning the target language appropriately. As a matter of fact, many professionals have started to apply this method and they have begun to look for activities that put into practice the language’s four skills simultaneously. Even though finding these kinds of activities seems to be hard to achieve, it is necessary to remember that the teachers’ job is to find the way to transfer pupils the knowledge they have, so that the students will be capable......
