William Blake - Innocence and Evil Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
William Blake was an English poet, engraver, and painter and was born on November 28, 1757, in London. Blakes family believed in God very strongly but did not attend church services. William Blake did not go to school, but he read the Bible on his own and at home. Blake published two famous books of poems, Song of Innocence, which is about a god who creates love and happiness, and Song of Experience which is about the god who brought evil.
In this essay we are going to compare and contrast two of Blakes poems, The Lamb (469) and The Tyger (502). The titles indicate that these two poems are completely opposite each other. By using these two animals, Blake shows two different sides of god; god did not only create the nice and beautiful things, but he also created dreadful and frightening ones in the world too.
