Comparing The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and the film Driving Miss Daisy Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

For many years, there has been a major struggle with prejudices and values of society. This is still going on today, although it has gotten much better since years ago. In the novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and the film Driving Miss Daisy there are some interesting connections dealing with prejudice and values of society. In Huckleberry Finn, it is set in the late 1800s before the Civil War in the Deep South. In contrast, Driving Miss Daisy is set between the 1940s and late 1960s in Georgia. Although the novel and the film take place in different times and settings, there are interesting parallels between the two dealing with society and prejudices. In the novel, Huckleberry Finn is the main character who goes through a transformation and in the film, Miss Daisy is the same. At first, in the novel, Huck is skeptical about society and how it is supposed to be because throughout all of his life he has gotten a warped view of how society is and how it should be.
