Name English 1010 28 March, 2007 Different social classes and forms of inequality are found all around us, and are experienced in every aspect of our lives. Look around you and you will see people from all different backgrounds and social classes. The person sitting in front of you might be a college student with two jobs paying their way through school, whereas the person behind you might be someone who doesn’t have to work and spends their free time however they please while their parents pay for their education. Social classes and the act of classifying others has been occurring for many years before you were even born. The methods we use to classify have been tweaked and mutated over time, but the concept has remained consistent throughout the years.
