In the novel, 1984 ,by George Orwell, he portrays Winston Smiths dreadful life of a 24/7 watch by a devilish and selfish government party known to him as Big Brother, but to the states as communists. In 1984, the government sets up every territory with telescreens, capturing the oddest jerks of movement that would send off reasons of negative thoughts to overthrow the government, meaning torture to those who would resist its saying. Its a time when London, England is being under total control of Big Brother, a so called man who is in control of the nation and head of the party.
Big Brother, with a name sounding of protection and security, is quite the opposite, leaving London to crumble and destroy itself without the people knowing. Big Brother takes away any expression of individuality, including sex, leaving the people unable to create new generations, and mainly the loss of free thought.
