I: The Legend of Troy
The legend of Troy has always been a mystery to historians, anthropologists, and anyone who has ever studied it. It was believed to be only a myth, a fictional place, until in 1872 when Heinrich Schliemann uncovered a site in Turkey which, according to all previous research, was believed to be the location of ancient Troy. He found multiple layers, where the city was re-built on top of itself, and he was led to believe, using Homers famous book The Iliad, that the Trojan war took place on the sixth or seventh layer of Troy. Scientists can tell from the city ruins that the Trojan War took place during the 13th century B.C.
II: The War Begins
The Greeks waged the Trojan war against Troy in the 12th to 13th century B.C. It started with a prophecy that Zeus and his goddess wife, Thetic, would have s on more powerful than his father.
