My name is Odysseus son of Laertes. Today I have left for my journey to defeat the Trojans. I believe I will come safely home to my loving family and my beautiful maiden Penelope who is the mother of my child. Ithaca is my home and I hope to return in the same manner I came. My crew and I set out to troy. We spent 10 years fighting in Troy. Where we had built a horse as a gift and put some of my men inside. When the towns people fell asleep we attacked. After we dominated their environment we had successfully won the war.
After we defeat the Trojans we came across the city of Cicones which are allies of the Trojans. Its located near Ismarus. When we landed there we invaded them, robbing and killing people. I left with 72 crew members dead. After we had left we continued on with our journey. After our ship was delayed in a storm for two day we ended up drifting out to sea for nine days. On the tenth day of drifting we came across land. It was the coast line of the Lotus Eaters where the people of the land lived upon the flower.
