In this paper I will talk discuss how the Aztecs came to lose their empire? Many people often wonder how a great civilization such as the Aztecs came to great power and lost a mighty civilization. There are many reasons to witch they could of lost their empire to the coming of the Spaniards. The Aztecs were intelligent people of their time. They managed to build a great society out of nothing. To this day nobody really knows where they really came from, as they did not keep any written records.
The story of the Aztecs rise to power is an inspiring one, and of the most remarkable stories in world history. They were an unknown group of people who came into the Valley of Mexico during the 12th and 13th century A.D. They rose to be the greatest power in the Americas by the time the Spaniards arrived. In the Aztec codex Tira de la peregrinacion, commonly called the Migration Scroll.
